TRENZ 2010 – Tourism Industry Rendezvous New Zealand
This year sees TRENZ again in New Zealand’s biggest city, Auckland. From May 24 – 27, the ASB Showgrounds will once again come alive with approximately 270 of New Zealand’s leading providers of accommodation, transport, activities and attractions to showcase the best of what New Zealand has to offer, along with the latest developments.
The Tourism Industry Association New Zealand manages TRENZ in partnership with Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand, Qantas and other industry supporters.

TIA – Tourism Industry Association New Zealand
TIA is the largest representative body of tourism operators in New Zealand. It is a membership-based and private sector trade organization with about 1700 members – from small operators through to large companies – who collectively make up 85% of the country’s tourism turnover.
TIA has four main areas of activity:
- Industry Advocacy – this includes Government relations and media and industry relations.
- Business Networking – providing forums for business and professional development (TRENZ, the New Zealand Tourism Industry Awards and other events) and vehicles to identify issues that impact on business and sector performance.
- Industry Development Programmes – developing, coordinating or sourcing programmes for the industry that can contribute to improvements in business performance/results.
- Membership Services – membership deals, newsletters and issues updates.
