Living in luxury

mollies

I have to apologize; I am behind on my blog posts. I have been so busy doing amazing, incredible, fun, and wonderful things, that I haven’t had the chance to catch up and share them with you. Well, it’s a beautiful Sunday morning in Auckland and I am in my suite at Mollies. Before I tell you about my other adventures, I have to tell you about Mollies. It is one of the most exceptional places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in.

Check out the website, when you click on certain photos, you are serenaded with piano music—it is exceptional—just like the place. Words can’t do it justice. It is charming and luxurious, and yet comfortable all at the same time.

Mollies is a labour of love for owners Frances Wilson and Stephen Fitzgerald. Their passion for opera and fine antiques is abundant in this eclectic and luxurious hotel. Walking into Mollies is like walking into a little corner of heaven. It is so beautiful and filled with antiques, music and books…it is almost impossible to decide which room to enter.

Mollies is a 5-star hotel in the heart of Auckland that overlooks the stunning city harbour. There are 14 magnificently appointed luxury balcony suites and each has individually unique interior features. I just want to live here – forever! Although, I think I have to stop saying that out loud here. The staff may be beginning to worry that I’m not joking and that they will have to carry me out of here tomorrow morning.

I had breakfast here this morning – check out the images on our Flickr page. It was wonderful. I love the sunroom and how it is set up – and I am especially taken with the clear chairs. Along with the floor to ceiling walls made of glass, it makes the room sparkle.

I will write more about Mollies in another post (I am having a spa treatment this afternoon and dinner here tonight). But as I sit in my suite, with the Auckland sun shining in and am surrounded by such luxury and beauty, I had to write a bit about Mollies now. My suite overlooks the garden. I can only say how delighted and thrilled I am to have been able to spend time here. Each time I come into the hotel, I feel like I have walked into a fairy tale.
